  • COORDINATOR: Fall Festival for the Special Olympics DC Young Athletes Program™ (YAP), serving as the YAP Liaison, it is an honor to participate as part of the Special Olympics DC team to host two sessions for this event on December 5th and December 7th, both taking place from 10am to 1:30pm at the Dufour Center at Catholic University, 3606 John McCormack Drive, NE, Washington, DC 20064. 
  • PANELIST: Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National Hospital and The George Washington University, December 5th, 6-8pm, Busboys and Poets on Monroe Street (near Catholic University) Science Café 360⁰ is a casual space for open dialogue between community members, researchers, and social scientists.  Clinical researchers and others will demystify what they do and how they do it and why they think it may help DC residents. The public – anyone from the casually interested to health activists, from citizen patients to street scholars –  will probe, debate, and share ideas that come from living the experience.
  • PRESENTER: Comp 13 Lunch and Learn with DC Department of Healthcare Finance (DHCF) Nurses, December 14th, 11am, 441 4th street NW (Judiciary Square) This workshop will look at identified critical partners within DC government, nonprofit organizations, provider agencies and other private sector partners that can help children between the ages of 0-5 years old that are at a critical transition in terms of access to service within in the public and public charter school system that is better supported with health care partners as well as with recreational, library and respite care services.
